Below is the information on our instructors as well as associations we are a members of. 

Instructors

Michael Fath: Having played competitive sports from childhood through high school and in college, it wasn’t until his late teens that the world of martial arts began for Michael, with his first professional boxing coach in New York.  Fast forward to today; with multiple black belts in 3 separate Korean martial arts disciplines Taekwondo, Hapkido and Haedong Kumdo (the ancient Korean sword art), and as of November 2009, a first degree black belt in Krav Maga, Michael also holds a blue belt in Brazilian JiuJitsu and is currently studying the Filipino knife art Sayoc Kali.  He also has been a senior Krav Maga and Haedong Kumdo instructor for several years.

Sean Stoopman: For the past 20 years Sean has studied traditional and modern martial arts, everything from Judo, Brazilian jiu jitsu, hapkido, Krav Maga, Muay Thai Kickboxing and various other unarmed and armed combat systems . Holding multiple black belts in various systems, a brown belt in Krav Maga as well as fitness and coaching certifications. Sean teaches out of Silverback Academy in Virginia, catering to everyone from law enforcement, military and civilians. Our programs teach men and women of all ages how to defended and protect themselves in real life situations, as well as giving people a way to get in shape, and advance their training.

•  Krav maga:  We are members if the IKI, Israeli Krav Maga Internation run by Moshe Katz.  They are a leading international Krav maga association, with schools located world wide.
